This is not our vehicle but it's the only shot I had of the flooded road.
There is a river called the Armado that passes under the road on our way to church in Boom Creek Village. Well, in the rainy season it sometimes passes over the road, as is the case in the above photo. Upon arriving at church yesterday and letting pastor know how high the river was (which was over road but not too bad) he rearranged the church service so we could leave sooner. He feared the river was rising and we might have to wade through the water (w/o the vehicle) to get back. So we put preaching first, which went well by the way the Lord really helped me, then we left for home.
He was right, the river was rising. Thankfully it was still low enough to cross in our van. It was almost as high as you see in the picture. It was high enough that we saw a fish cross in front of the van, so that tells you something.
The old saying, "Lord willing and the creek don't rise" is not so old anymore.
