It being close to New Years and not too far removed from Christmas there's been a lot of parties going on. Tonight is no exception
Off in the distance, though not too far in the distance, I can hear the bumping and thumping of some type of Caribbean club music. Though we live here in town we're still not very far from the jungle either. What's funny is between songs I can also hear the howler monkeys out in the bush. They're not too big but, wow, do they have some pipes.
Living here is a funny mixture of worlds. There's the very worldly and carnal life of the town and then there's the almost untouched, natural jungle and they're only separated by a few short miles.
All that said, it's loud tonight. Compliments of man and monkey.
