What Can $100 Buy?

I just got back from Atlanta. I went to a workshop at the Bible Training Centre for Pastors. BTCP has created a curriculum designed to extend a non-formal theological education to the world's untrained pastors and church leaders. My trip was to learn about the curriculum and to get approved to teach it. I've been looking for a curriculum for years and even thought about trying to build my own. Thankfully the Lord always shows us what we need right when we need it (just 2 months from our departure date.) This will be the curriculum we use train pastors in Belize!!!

 

What can $100 buy?

1. Concert tickets -OR- Provide a Belizean pastor with a full set of BTCP manuals.
2. Two hours with a personal trainer -OR- The skills, knowledge, and resources a Belizean pastor longs for.
3. A shampoo, haircut and style at a high end salon -OR- Equip a Belizean pastor to effectively protect his church from false teachers and cults.
4. Ten movie tickets -OR- Enable a Belizean pastor to develop his own sermons from scripture and stop relying on preachers on the radio.
5. A one way flight on a cheap airline -OR- Give a Belizean pastor the skills he needs to teach through an entire book of the Bible.
6. A really nice dinner and a movie date night -OR- Two years of biblically based training for a Belizean pastor.
7. Two hours of training for Rover -OR- Arm a Belizean pastor with the skills he needs to study the Bible effectively.

One hundred dollars is not what it used to be. But did you know that same $100 can provide a pastor with two whole years of theological and practical ministry training?
