Belize's Beautiful Faces

Here are some of the people from the village San Pedro Columbia. These children came to the vacation Bible school the team from TX did. The gentleman in the photo is pastor of the village's Baptist church. Pastor Marcos Teul and I talked for a long time during one of our trips to his village. I learned that he and his daughter would be interested in receiving Bible training. His daughter wants to be a missionary and knows she needs to be trained. The liberal group of churches here also offered to help her in the past. Thankfully she couldn't travel as far as they were wanting her too. That's why I'm here. To bring the education to the people who can't go get it (and I'm glad she couldn't get that one.)

It looks as though some of our target people are going to be those who are often neglected by other ministries here. Those who are off the paved roads and further in the jungle make up a larger number of people than live in town. One of the common problems with those living further in the bush is a lower level of literacy. So please pray for us as we move forward.
