Last Sunday I performed my first baptisms. Santiago, Martalena, and Gabriela attended two classes I conducted in prep. for baptism. They also passed the one on one interview in which I tried to see if they understood what the gospel was, if they were presently trusting in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, and if they were sure of their salvation.
It was great to know that I was baptizing those whom I had seen make professions of faith, who were willing to be taught, and who wanted to obey Christ in baptism.
People who refuse to be baptized never grow spiritually. It wasn't until they were baptized that the early church began to be persecuted. Baptism is really the first step in our walk with Christ.
It was a great Sunday and I'm so thankful to be here. Thank you Father and thank those of you who keep us on the field through your prayers and support. These pictures show the fruit of our united labors and God's gracious hand.
