Smiling on the Outside, Leaping Within

"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring." 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4

I understand now what Paul means when he talks about boasting about people's growth in the Lord. These were people he'd heavily invested in and so when he saw growth, that only the Lord can produce, he could boast about what God was doing through him.

I assigned my students a small part of our lesson to study and present to the class. Each one taught about 15-30 min. I sat there listening to how well they were
doing, hearing how they had grown, and I couldn't help but smile. On the inside I was jumping and dancing! To hear my students talk about the importance of being a servant, the importance of obedience to the word, the importance of sound doctrine, etc. etc. Wow! Praise God for their faith growing more and more. I am boasting about what God is doing in their lives.
