Mother's Day in Belize

My wife Amie is a mother of four. She's something special. I was there to witness the birth of all four of our children. She did so great. After each delivery when we were holding our new baby and looking at each other I remember thinking, "Wow, she's incredible. Look what she just did."
After you have children you next have to raise them. She would be the first to say that she has a lot of improving to do in this area. We all do, but the truth is she's a wonderfully dedicated, sacrificial, hard working, and committed mother. She loves us all very much and most nights crashes from exhaustion because she's kept us fed, the children educated, our clothes clean (and folded and put away), our house clean (you could eat off our floors, ask Nathanael), bedsheets changed, and lots of other little things that keep it all clicking. I just don't know many ladies that could do what she does, how she does it, under the circumstances she has, and without quitting.
At church today our pastor's wife Maylin did something really special. She created laminated pages with encouraging words for mothers and baked a little cake with "God bless" in icing for each mom. We were touched.
After church we took Mommy to one of her favorite restaurants. It was fun and she enjoyed it. As Iva would say, we had a good day today.
We love you Mommy!

I'd also like to wish my own dear mother a Happy Mother's Day. You're the best.
