Special Guest Coming Tomorrow

Dr. David Sills is a professor, author, conference speaker, and former missionary to Ecuador. He's also coming here tomorrow for a 4 day visit! How cool is that?! I actually get to rub shoulders with Dr. Sills for three reasons:
#1 He's a professor at the seminary in which I'm enrolled, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, which also happens to be the greatest theological institution in the world. (Go Southern! Hello Al, love you man.)
#2 He's on the board at Global Outreach International (our missions organization).
#3 Because God is gracious to losers like me and let's me gain wisdom and insight from very godly men from time to time.

He has graciously agreed to come and see our ministry, hear our vision and goals, and meet those with whom we work. This is all for the purpose of giving encouragement, advice, and council. You see, Dr. Sills' heart's desire is the same as ours; that the Great Commission be obeyed and fulfilled. We also agree that it is best accomplished when God's people begin to focus on an area we've been neglecting for too long, namely the reaching and teaching of indigenous pastors and church leaders around the globe. Actually, his ministry is called Reaching and Teaching and he specializes in doing just that.

So it's really a big deal that he's coming here to help us, especially since his schedule has been booked up in the past with things like speaking at John Piper's missions conference last year. So as you can tell, I'm excited he's coming. Pray he arrives safely please.
