Priceless

Anyone who's been in ministry knows that there are good days and bad days. Anyone who has been a missionary before also knows there are other layers which can also have their good and bad times.

Occasionally something happens that's greatly encouraging and reminds you why it's all worth it. Thankfully, the Lord blesses me with those from time to time without too much of a gap in between. Let me share the beginning part of a letter one of my students gave me yesterday. She likes writing out her Bible questions for me and this time she prefaced them with this priceless paragraph, by the way the parentheses are to help you understand her meaning:

Brother, thanks for your time you have given us for the Bible training. Even if you are tired or its raining you still make or reach (you still manage to come). Thanks for the good Lord too (thank the Lord also). Nobody has taught us like this in our life, but now we are learning the inside of the Bible and trying our very best to obey it...Thank you very much again. You are a good teacher. May the good Lord continue His shower of blessing upon you and your family.

This letter was from Teresa and I call these occasions 'nuggets of gold'. They're priceless to me and a huge source of encouragement.
