This may look like a child's leftovers from snack time, but it's actually how we celebrate the Lord's supper (communion). One thing missionaries sometimes don't receive is spiritual food for themselves. We come to minister to the people in less than adequate churches and give of ourselves so people may know the Lord and grow spiritually. But who ministers to us? We have to feed ourselves.
One thing our family and the Farley's have begun to do on Sunday nights is have church at our house around the kitchen table. We're currently studying through Deuteronomy and afterwards we take communion. Nothing luxurious but for us it's precious. Communion is remembering and celebrating the Lord's sacrifice for us until He comes. Our elements aren't offered on fine metals but on blue plastic. Isn't that sacrilegious? No, it's sacred! Afterwards we sing hymns together. I wish you could be here for church too.

That is the most beautiful set I've ever seen. It is so good to see you and Amie and the Farleys meeting around the Lord Jesus. It couldn't be more beautiful in the most glorious cathedral. How the Lord is glorified!
And everybody is just looking wonderful. Tell Amie I and the Bible study are praying for her teaching skills.
